Breakaways Alpine Ski Team is a competitive downhill slalom race team open to all students grades 7-12. They are a cooperative of several high schools and middle schools in Central Minnesota, including St. Cloud Tech, St. Cloud Apollo, North Jr High, South Jr High, St. Cloud Cathedral, Rocori, Sartell-St. Stephen, St. John’s Prep, Becker, St. Cloud Christian and Eden Valley-Watkins. 

The co-op is looking to grow the team and get more students interested in it from the Becker area.  One such local skier, Mirra Koubsky, a seventh grader at Becker Middle School will be joining the team this year.  

The co-op is having  an open house meeting on the 21st of October for all who may be interested. It will be held at the Cathedral High School Library at 7 p.m. 

Sixth graders interested in racing this next year can practice with the team. The co-op is under the direction of the Minnesota State High School League and operated by an independent Booster Club of parent volunteers.
