A Big Lake woman died Wednesday morning (Nov. 13) when she was involved in a two-vehicle crash at a Hwy. 10 intersection in Sherburne County.

The collision happened on Hwy. 10 and 172nd St. NW at 7:40 a.m. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the driver of a Ford Fusion was westbound on Hwy. 10  while 40-year-old Danielle E. Hayes was crossing Hwy. 10 on 172nd St. NW in a Nissan Altima.

Hayes was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. The 25-year-old Elk River man (Blake Seraaj) was the driver the Ford Fusion and was taken to Mercy Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
