Erin Scott Brown, age 52, of St. Cloud, MN passed away at his home on September 3, 2024. 

He was born in Mason City, Iowa on January 25, 1972. He graduated from St. Ansgar High School and then attended Wartburg College, receiving a degree in social work. 

Erin currently worked at Becker Public Schools as a social worker. Previous employment includes the US Postal Service in Osage, IA as a mail carrier, Boys & Girls Club, Lutheran Social Services, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. His career as a social worker was very important to him and he was dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk youth. 

He enjoyed portage trips to the Boundary Waters with college buddies, classic cars, and attending the occasional rock concert. Backyard fires with close friends was his favorite pastime. When visiting Iowa, he always made time for his favorite “minions”, nephew Linca and niece Layla. 

Erin is survived by his father, Larry Brown of St. Ansgar, IA; his mother, Roz Grundmeier of Gilbert, AZ; sister, Amy Scarlett; nephew, Linca Scarlett; niece, Layla Scarlett all of Northwood, IA; uncle, Jerry Brown (Sheila) of Osage, IA; cousins, Sarah Anderson of Cedar Rapids, IA, Waylon Brown of Ostage, IA, and Clint Brown of St. Ansgar, IA; close friends, Greg, Jennifer, and Haley Walker of St. Cloud, MN; godson, Tanner and his family Jeff, Erin and Easton Kissner of New Ulm, MN. 

He is preceded in death by brother, Eric Brown; paternal grandparents, Cal and Elna Brown; maternal grandparents, Gene and Beulah Bohl. 

No formal service is planned. A Celebration of Life will take place on Sun., Sept. 22, 2024 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at The Eastside Boys and Girls Club located at 320 Raymond Ave. NE, St.Cloud 56304..
