Covenant Christian Academy is excited to share that permits have been secured, and construction on its new classical Christian school campus in Big Lake will begin in the coming weeks.
The doors will open for the inaugural school year in Fall 2025. The school aims to provide exceptional classical Christian education in partnership with parents, laying a solid foundation for lifelong learners and devoted followers of Jesus.
The new campus will feature purpose-built facilities to support the classical Christian education model, emphasizing rigorous academics, character development, and a Christ-centered approach to learning. This milestone marks a significant step forward in the mission to serve families seeking a high-quality, faith-based educational option in the Big Lake area.
To commemorate this momentous occasion, Covenant Christian Academy hosted a groundbreaking ceremony at Premier Marine on Monday.
The ceremony included remarks from the Covenant Christian Academy board, a dedication prayer, and the ceremonial groundbreaking. Light refreshments and snacks followed. .
While the project faced initial delays, primarily due to construction planning and securing the ideal location, the school leadership is grateful for the community’s patience and understanding throughout this process.
“We know families have been eagerly awaiting the launch of Covenant Christian Academy,” said Karly Hall, Interim Executive Director of the school. “We are deeply thankful for the support and encouragement from our community as we navigated the complexities of this important undertaking. We are thrilled to see the vision come to life as we prepare to welcome students in 2025.”
