Becker Youth Wrestling ended another successful season at the Northland Youth Wrestling Association (NYWA) State tournament in Rochester, MN, March 31-April 3. 

 

Six wrestlers placed in the individual tournament. 

 

Sixth grader Mason Doucette placed second in the fifth-sixth grade, 84-lb bracket. Fourth grader Kaden Rish placed second in the third-fourth grade, 72-lb bracket. Third grader Kaden Nicolas placed third in the third-fourth grade, 60-lb bracket. Kindergartner Jacob Williams placed fourth in the kindergarten, 45-lb bracket. Third grader Cash Storz placed fifth in the third-fourth grade, 64-lb bracket. First grader Bennett Kujawa placed sixth in the first-second grade, 50-lb bracket.

 

Individuals placing in the state invite tournament include sixth grader Ethan Anderson (first place); third grader Landon Kujawa (first place); first grader Boston Kuschel (first place); fourth grader Drew May (third place); fifth grader Dylan Weber (fourth place and seventh grader Kyle Rish (fourth place).

 

The seventh and eighth grade wrestlers placed first in their pool. They include Caden DeWall, Brayden Weber, Lane Lysdal, Bennett Edling, Jacob Nelson, Lukas Paulson, Kyle Rish, Mason Doucette and John Stangler. The team was coached by Ryan DeWall, Curt Suchy and Jayme Doucette.

 

The K-6 team placed second in their pool and 14th out of 32 teams. The K-6 wrestlers include Mason Lumley, Jacob Williams, Bennett Kujawa, Carl Oakes, Boston Kuschel, Isaac Daluge, Landon Kujawa, Kaden Nicolas, Cash Stortz, Owen Angell, Kaden Rish, Drew May, Ethan Anderson, Mason Doucette, Tyson Ricker, Dylan Weber, Bryce Kuschel, Logan Dierkes, Lane Lysdal and Lance Lysdal. The team is coached by Suchy and Doucette.
