What says summer more than baseball? Several youth baseball teams from Becker are competing in their summer leagues in Gopher State baseball and below are the results up to this week:

 

Coached by Tim Daluge, the Bulldogs are currently 5-7 and tied for third place with Big Lake.

 

The team started the season May 3 and lost their opener to Monticello, 14-3. They then beat St. Cloud 19-4. lost to Zimmerman 14-10, beat Princeton 9-5, topped Big Lake 5-1 before losing to Buffalo 15-10 to close out the month.

 

June 1, they eked out a close win over Big Lake, 6-5, then lost to Princeton 13-6, lost to Monticello 4-2 and routed Zimmerman 22-0. Two weeks ago they trounced St. Cloud 14-4 and the following week, lost to Buffalo 8-6.

 

The team consists of  (no last names provided) Alex, Thomas, Aydan, Denlan, Jack, Landen, Karter, Tucker, Carter, Jaxon, Isaac, Isaac and Kaden.

 

The Bulldogs 10U team is coached by Eric Graning and consists of Kellan, Brayden, Reid, Ethan, Sawyer, Dylan, Grayson, Mason, Jase, Aiden, Joshua and Peyton.

The Bulldogs are currently 10-5 and sit in fifth place.

 

In May, the team went 6-2 with wins over Buffalo (16-3), Andover (10-9), Princeton (9-8, 9-7), Monticello (15-3) and Sauk Rapids (10-7). Their losses were to Rogers (14-6) and STMA (16-4).

 

In June, the team went 4-3 with wins over Monticello (7-3), Big Lake (14-5), Buffalo (10-5) and Andover (20-9). Their losses were to Sauk Rapids (10-6), Elk River (12-10) and Big Lake (16-13).

 

 

Brian Kolbinger is the 11U’s coach and his team consists of Nick, Bruce, Calvin, Nolan, Eli, Owen, Cooper, Micah, Cooper, Ian, Connor, Evan and Riley.

The Bulldogs sit in last place with a 4-12 record.

 

The 11U team started the season in April and won their first game against Buffalo, 9-8. 

 

In May, the team went 0-6 with losses to Zimmerman (11-1, 15-4), Sauk Rapids (7-2), STMA (21-4), Monticello (17-5) and Sartell (5-2).

 

In June, the team went 3-6 with wins over Sartell (10-7), Elk River (12-6) and Monticello (9-8). The losses were to Sauk Rapids (13-1), STMA (6-1), Buffalo (9-0), Rogers-Otsego (13-3, 17-1) and Elk River (9-3).

 

Ryan Seavert is the Becker coach and his kids include Eric, Carter, Hayden, Tristan, Jacob, Logan, Ben, William, William, Logan, Isaac, Ethan, Carter and Mason.

 

The team started in April and went 1-1 with a win over Big Lake (7-4) and a loss to Delano (10-1).

 

In May, the team went 0-4 with losses to Buffalo (13-0), Elk River (7-4), Sartell (5-1) and Anoka-Ramsey (15-3).

 

In June, the boys went 1-9 with a win over Zimmerman (5-4) and losses to Monticello (7-6), Willmar (5-2, 14-3), Sartell (17-3), Zimmerman (11-1), Alexandria (24-5, 9-4) and Foley (4-2, 15-5).

 

The boys of summer are coached by Tom Huffman and his team consists of Matthew, Nicholas, Mitchell, Lucas, Keegan, Bennett, Kenny, Brandon, Kaden, Benjamin and Avery.

 

Huffman’s team currently sits in fifth place with a 5-11 record.

 

The 13U boys team went 2-2 in the month of May by beating Sauk Rapids 6-5 and Sartell 8-5. They lost to Foley (7-2) and Willmar (12-0).

 

In June, the boys went 3-9 with wins over Big Lake (14-13), Alexandria (10-4) and Andover (10-8). they lost to Elk River (18-2), Alexandria (7-0), Rogers-Otsego (15-13), Foley (2-0), Big Lake (10-2), Sauk Rapids (12-7), Sartell (3-2), C-I (11-1) and Willmar (16-5).

 

The Bulldog 14U team is coached by Tom Wenner and his team includes Zach, M. Walker, Cade, Cameron, Nick, Cole, Noah, Carter, Gabe, Dalton, Andrew, Jackson, Jeremy and Tyler.

 

They currently sit in last place with a 2-13 record.

 

In May, they played their first game of the year and beat St. Cloud 6-3.

 

In June the boys went 1-13 with a win over Brainerd (9-4) and losses to Orono (11-3, 8-3), Andover (7-4), Monticello (11-1, 12-2), Sauk Rapids (11-5, 14-4), Sartell (17-9, 19-8), Brainerd (10-4), ACYBA Blue (13-2), St. Cloud (8-6) and Coon Rapids (11-5).

 

Jeromy Quast is the team’s head coach and his players are Jordan, Justice, Joseph, Travis, Nick, Jake, Evan, Jordan, Makoy, Kyle, Connor, Alex and Brandon.

 

The Bulldogs are 1-8 and are in seventh place in the division.

 

The boys began their season June 6 with a loss to Champlin Park, 14-7. Their only win came against Soderville (13-12) June 22 and their losses are against Rogers-Otsego (7-3), Centennial (9-3), Champlin Park (7-2), Andover (9-3), Soderville (9-8) and Anoka-Ramsey (14-7, 5-0).

 

In July, the team played July 6 at home against PACT, home against Rogers-Otsego July 8, and will play at home against Andover July 13. July 18, they go on the road at Centennial and July 20 at PACT.

 

Jon Crowley is the head coach and his team includes Matthew, Gabe, Lucas, Hayden, Luke, Logan, Colin, Connor, Christopher, Olsen, Tanner, Logan, Eric, Blake, Zach, Evan, Ryan, Mitchell, Joseph, Logan and Nate.

 

The Bulldogs currently sit in third place with a 3-6 record.

 

Becker began their regular season June 2 with a win over Rogers-Otsego, 10-7. They also beat Champlin Park June 27 by a score of 4-1 and beat Coon Rapids two days later, 5-3.

 

Their losses were to Brooklyn Area Rangers (5-2, 4-2), STMA (5-3), Soderville (9-4), Rogers-Otsego (7-4) and Brooklyn Area Brewers (11-8).

 

This month, the boys play Coon Rapids July 5 on the road, Brooklyn Area Brewers at home July 7, At STMA July 12, back home against Champlin Park July 18 and on the road July 19 against Soderville.
