County seeking tips on suspect in Zimmerman abduction

The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office is requesting information from the public as part of its ongoing investigation of a child abduction case.

Joseph Andrew Bragg, 28, is charged with kidnapping and sexual assault related to a Jan. 21 incident involving a 7-year-old child. The child was ultimately recovered alive.

Investigators have determined that Bragg communicated with parents through social media, offering to provide nanny or daycare services. Investigators are asking anyone who employed Joseph Bragg as a nanny for their children to contact investigators through the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) tipline at (651) 793-2465.

The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation with assistance from the BCA and FBI.
