Becker man celebrates 10 years of professional racing

Alec Robbins is a Becker High School graduate who is making a name for himself in formula drift racing. Robbins has been racing for 10 years, getting introduced to the sport through his hobby of modifying and building cars. Nowadays, Robbins is competing as a racer full time and traveling all over the country.

Robbins recently started the 2022 season with a trip to California, where he competed at the Long Beach Grand Prix.

“It was a good chance to test the car without the snow,” Robbins said, as the long and bitter Minnesota winters make it difficult to drive the vehicle with any regularity.

Robbins will take a brief break at home with his family, then head out to Las Vegas. Next, Robbins and his crew will head to Altanta and proceed to make their way around the east coast as the season progresses.

Before he leaves, however, Robbins will be on hand for a meet-and-greet with his local fans at the Edina Realty Heitz/Gardner Group’s open house, Tuesday, May 3. Robbins will be taking photos and signing autographs for his fans, and kids can come to sit in the race car.

Robbins is currently living in Becker township with his wife and two young children. He encourages his fans to follow him on social media @AlecRobbinsRacing and on his website at AlexRobbinsRacing.com More information about formula drift racing can be found at FormulaD.com
