Wrestlers Tackle Mora And Delano Last Week

The Becker wrestling team competed Dec. 5 in Mora and won 39-21! 
 
Mason Doucette started Becker off by defeating his opponent Connor Gmahl (3-0).  Ethan Anderson, from Becker, also defeated his opponent from Mora, Trevor Thielen (6-0).  Jake Nelson defeated his opponent Cody Haggberg (12-0). 
 
Ryan Noshbush from Mora defeated his opponent from Becker via forfeit (12-6). Lukas Paulson beat Hayden Johnson from Mora (18-6).  Kevin Andres joined the rest of his teammates and defeated Jordan Lindquist (21-6). 
 
Blake Paulson won his match against Mason Sanborn (24-6) and Jacob Berning beat Hunter Fredrickson of Mora (27-6).  Logan Jurek won against Jon Smith and raised the score (30-6). 
 
Connor Eickhoff was defeated by his opponent Danny Schroeder (30-12), but Brayden Weber proved victorious and beat his opponent Andrew Kientop (33-12).  Reid Tripp lost his match against Mora’s Jake Nowling making the score (33-15).
 
Nicholas Goth competed against Tanner Grangruth from Mora and was defeated (33-21).  Nicholas Radunz won his match against Brandon Udstuen from Mora, raising the score (39-21).  
 
The team traveled to Delano Saturday and placed fifth in the individual tournament. During this tournament Becker had nine place winners and are currently 3-0 in duals this this season and 1-0 in the conference.
 
Jake Nelson (5-0) placed first at Delano and scored 25 team points.  In his first round he received a bye.  During his quarterfinal, Jake Nelson received another bye.  However, in his Semifinal, Jake Nelson won against Noah Hunt.  In the first place match, Jake Nelson of Becker won by major decision over Clete Scherer of Delano.  
 
Nick Radunz (6-0) placed first as well and scored 28.00 team points. During round one, Nick Radunz received a bye. In the quarterfinal Nick Radunz won against Payton Duske. In the semifinal - Nick Radunz won through a fall over against Spencer Poll from Delano.  In his first place match Nick Radunz won over Tommy Andersen from Rogers.  
 
Ethan Anderson (5-1) placed third and scored 15.50 team points. In Ethan Anderson’s first round he received a bye, but won his quarter final against Colton Zwiefe.  Ethan however lost his semifinal match, but won his consolation. Semi match and the third place match.
 
Lukas Paulson (6-1) placed third and scored 18.00 team points.  In his first round, Lukas received a bye, but won his quarterfinal match and lost the semifinal match against Noah Halonen.  Lukas pulled through and won his next two matches: the cons. Semi and the third place match against Xavier Schugel. 
 
Brayden Weber (6-1) placed third and scored 18.00 team points.  In round one, Brayden Weber received a bye and in the quarterfinal he was able to beat his opponent, Jack Zobel.  Brayden was defeated during his semifinal round, but came back as victorious in his next two matches, earning him third. 
 
Blake Paulson (3-2) placed fourth and scored 15.00 team points.  Blake Paulson won his first match with bye.  Blake won his next match against Teddy Flomo, but was suddenly defeated by Adam Sweeney.  Blake was able to pull through and won the cons. Semi final against his teammate Jacob Berning and lost the third place match against Trae Janisch.
 
 Jacob Berning (5-2) placed fifth, and won his first match over Blake Helling of Rogers.  Jacob lost his second match against Trae Janisch, but received a bye on his cons round 3 match.  He won his next match against Kaden Schmidt, but lost his match against Becker’s Blake Paulson.  In the fifth place match, Jacob Berning pulled ahead and won fifth place. 
 
 Logan Jurek (6-2) placed fifth and scored 11.00 team points.  Logan received a bye on his first match and lost his second match against Jake Born.  Logan Jurek pulled through in his next two matches and defeated both of his opponents.  In the Cons Semi round, he lost to Wareke Gillette, but won against Christian Johnson, taking fifth. 
 
 Kevin Andres (3-4) placed sixth and scored 6.00 team points. Kevin’s first match, he received a bye, but lost his second match to Carter Entinger.   He received another bye and won his Cons round 3 against Blake Wedebrand.  Kevin lost his last two matches, resulting in him taking sixth place. 
 
The wrestlers competed Dec.14 against Milaca at home and travel to Brainerd Dec. 21.
