Becker 3, Milaca 1
The Bulldogs came out slow against host Milaca Tuesday.
“Our hitters weren’t connecting,” said Sloan. “The setters weren’t getting there, altogether we struggled to get going.”
After the ugly start in which they lost the first set, the Bulldogs figured out what to do and won the next three sets.
“Hitters Hope Amundson and Brynn Barthel started placing the ball in their weak areas,” said Sloan.
Amundson had 15 kills for the night and Barthel brought in 11 kills, had six blocked shots and five aces.
“Overall, hitting picked up and as a team as we had 45 kills for the night with a hitting percentage of .437,” said the head coach.
