Utz And Kantorowitz Shoot A 6 In Men’s League

Dustin Kantorowitz and Pat Utz sloshed through the rain-soaked Pebble Creek Golf Course Wednesday to take first place honors for the week with a six-under, 30 in the Men’s Club nine hole best ball event.   
 
Mark Bertrum and Greg Konerza tallied a five-under, 31 to claim second place for the week and overall.  Warren Johnson and Jax Fluck rounded out the top three with a four-under, 32.
 
Greg Mattson and Bertrum tied for weekly MVP honors with a two-under, 34.   Kantorowitz, Utz, Dan Olson and Lonnie Fluck all tied for third individually at -1.
 
At the halfway point in the Fall League, the team of Doug Zimmerman and Wayne Yarke still holds a commanding lead at -18. They are trailed by  Bertrum and Konerza, who are at -15.  
 
The remaining scores are Andy Veller and Rick Torkela at -13; Kantorowitz and Utz at -12; Steve Engelby and Barry Ashmore at -11; Lonnie Fluck and Allen Novotny at -11; Tom Keller and Erik Olsen at -10; Dan Olson and Nate Doimer at -10; Jerry Vetsch and Greg Mattson at -9; Dan Brannan and Mark Staller at -8; Ryan Isaacson and Brad Johnson at -7; Warren Johnson and Jax Fluck at -6; Joe Schwarzkopf and Mike Doerka at +6.
 
In the MVP standings, Bertrum leads with 11.5, followed by Vetsch (6); Ashmore (5.75); Mattson (5.5); Yarke (5); Novotny (2.75); Torkela (2); Zimmerman (2); Lonnie Fluck (1.25) and eight more with less than one.
