The Bulldog boys and girls track teams held their end-of-the-season banquets last week to honor the many accomplishments each team had in 2019.
Boys Track
The following boys were recognized for lettering in track this year. Lukas Karel, David Myres, Basil Ricker, Sam Ricker, Kevin Andres, Michael Schmitz, Cade Stommes, Jack Belde, Noah Fakhreddine, Brayden Weber, Jordan Greens, Caden Dewall, Connor Eickhoff, Jake Nelson and Tyson Ricker.
The award for the top scorer this year went to Myres and the most dedicated award went to Gruenes.
The award for most improved this year went to Noah Fakhreddine, and the rookie of the year went to Tyson Ricker. The scholar athlete award this year went to Gruenes with a 4.00 GPA.
Next years captains were announced with Fakhreddine, Myres, Jake Nelson and Parker Lahr being selected by their fellow teammates.
Andres and Myres were named to the St. Cloud Times’ all area team.
Girls Track
This years letter winners were: Abby Maruska, Cienna Pleoger, Whitney Schug, Victoria Kolbinger, Keeley Holm, Cassidy Pleoger, Alli Garding, Callie Doucette, Dani Nuest, Madison Pleoger, Lexi Dehmer, Jessica Gruenes, Anna Briggs, Regan Hausmann, Sarah Woelfel, Elizabeth Mackedanz, Alyssa Gruenes, Abigail, Sanderson, Natasha Berthiaume, Grace Schendel, Paige Maunu and Alexis Rose.
The high scorer award went to Cassidy Pleoger. Most dedicated was Victoria Kolbinger. Most improved was Elizabeth Mackedanz. Rookies of the year went to Alexis Rose and Natasha Berthiaume.
The scholar athlete awards went to Madison Pleoger and Alyssa Gruenes.
The team received the Minnesota high school track coaches association Gold Academic Award.
All conference academic went to: Abby Sanderson, Sarah Woelfel Anna Briggs, Cassidy Pleoger, Whitney Schug, Lexi Dehmer, Callie Doucette, Alyssa Gruenes, Keeley Holm, Cienna Pleoger, Madi Pleoger and Victoria Kolbinger.
Academic all state went to: Lexi Dehmer, Paige Maunu, Abby Maruska, Sarah Woelfel and Cassidy Pleoger.
This year's captains —Victoria Kolbinger, Abby Maruska, Alli Garding and Lexi Dehmer — welcomed next year's captains, Cienna Pleoger, Madison Pleoger, Lexi Dehmer and Callie Doucette.
The MSHSL Raceberry Jam honor roll went to: Cassidy Pleoger in the 100M and 200M; Lexi Dehmer, Liz Mackedanz, Alexis Rose and Dani Nuest in the 4x800M relay; Paige Maunu, Abby Maruska, Sarah Woelfel and Cassidy Pleoger in the 4x100M relay and Dani Nuest in the 800M.
The St. Cloud Times named Cassidy Pleoger to the all area track team
