Becker lost their Section 6AA opening round team match against Delano last Saturday in Foley.
The Bulldogs came into the tournament as the #5-seed while the Tigers were seeded #4. Delano propelled Becker in the final three matches to capture the win and advance to round two against Litchfield.
Delano lost, 40-25 to Litchfield and Litchfield lost 30-25 to host Foley in the championship match.

Becker got out to a good start against the Tigers as Jake Nelson pinned Clete Scherer at 2:20 of the 106-lb. match to put the Bulldogs up.
Delano responded by winning the next five matches.
Reier Sjomeling beat Becker’s Lukas Paulson at 113-lbs. in OT by a score of 8-7. Delano’s Carson Tschudi scored a major decision (12-3) over Kylen Rish at 120-lbs. Becker’s Josh Lumley lost a 5-1 decision to Tanner Kroells at 126-lbs. Blake Paulson was pinned at 2:27 in the 132-lb. match against Tucker Sjomeling and Colten Demant was also pinned at 5:36 by Ethan Quast at 138-lbs.
Becker got back into the meet with five consecutive wins when Logan Jurek pinned Hayden Lynch at 1:49 of their 145-lb. match. Adam Bauman made it two-in-a-row when he beat Camden Tschudi, 7-3 at 152-lbs. Mikey James made it three-in-a-row at 160-lbs. when he beat Eric Rasmussen by technical fall at 5:36.
Brayden Weber had a tough match but he prevailed over Jacob MacDonald, 4-1 at 170-lbs. Becker’s Jaylin Hildebrandt made it five-in-a-row when he scored a 12-4 major decision over Samson Streachek at 182-lbs.
The Tigers finished off the Bulldogs when Edward Hajas pinned Nick Goth at 1;25 of the 195-lb. match, then Steven Hajas pinned Scott Braun at 1:07 in the 220-lb. match.
It was all but over when Nick Radunz lost in the heavyweight match to Walker Russek by a 5-1 decision.

The state tournament is March 2-4 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
