SOPHOMORE DIVING SUPERSTAR EMI QUILL continued to impress the judges as she won the dive event at Milaca by breaking the pool and meet records, then broke her own personal record at home Thursday.

Swimming Wins At Home, Takes Fifth At Milaca

The Becker Bulldog swim/dive team finished fifth at Milaca and won a home meet against St. Cloud Cathedral/St. John’s Prep.

The Becker swim/dive team traveled to Milaca Saturday to compete with five other area teams.
 
Becker finished fifth.
 
Becker’s Emi Quill won the diving event and broke the meet and pool record, scoring 389.60 points.  
 
Nicole Larrison placed second in the 50M freestyle event, also receiving a medal for the day.  Other ribbons winners for the day include 200M medley relay (ninth place) - Vanessa Gilles, Avery Tamm, Emily Lipinski and Macy Erson. 
 
200M freestyle (ninth place) - Vanessa Gilles; Diving (ninth place) - Paige Mohs; 500M freestyle; (10th place) - Jalissa Johnson. 
 
200M freestyle relay (sixth place) - Hailey Eriksson, Macy Erson, Vanessa Gilles, Nicole Larrison; (10th place) - Piper Romfo, Avery Tamm, Sophia Diaz, Makenna Thelen.
 
400M freestyle relay (sixth place) - Hailey Eriksson, Jalissa Johnson, Emily Lipinski and Nicole Larrison. In 10th place were Maddie Thorn, Kamryn Gass, Melody Swanson and Piper Romfo.
 
Team scores: 1). Foley 466; 2). Waconia 408.5; 3). Milaca 187; 4). Albany 148; 5). Becker 113; 6). Princeton 69.5.

The Bulldog swim/dive team hosted Cathedral and St. John’s Thursday and won by 13.
 
“After being on the road for so long,  it was nice to be back home and get a win,” said Head Coach Tina Tamm.  “The girls swam very well and dropped some time on their events.  They definitely like swimming at home.”
 
Becker took the top three spots in each of the following events:
 
50M freestyle: Jalissa Johnson, Hailey Eriksson and Vanessa Gilles.
 
Diving: Emi Quill. Sarah Woelfel and Paige Mohs. Quill broke her own pool record and was just shy of breaking the varsity record.  
 
100M backstroke: Maddie Thorn, Vanessa Gilles and Kamryn Gass.
 
New section qualifying times go to Macy Erson in the 200M freestyle, Jalissa Johnson in the 50M freestyle, Vanessa Gilles in the 50M freestyle, Nicole Larrison in the 500M freestyle and Sophia Diaz in the 500M freestyle.
