Swim Team Loses Close Home Match Against Wolves

The Becker Bulldog girls swim and dive team hosted Milaca Thursday night and lost a close match to the Wolves.

Milaca 97, Becker 89

The result of Thursday’s  meet came down to the last event of the night.

“It so much fun to have a meet where every race is close,” said Head Coach Tina Tamm.

Although the Bulldogs lost, Tamm came away with a good feeling about the future of her swim and dive team.

Jalissa Johnson was added to Becker’s section qualifier list as she became eligible in the 200 IM.

“All the girls continue to work hard and keep getting better,” said Tamm.  “We had 20 more improved times last night  — many of them had significant time drops.”

Not only did Becker’s veteran swimmers challenge the Milaca girls to gain team points, but the Bulldog eighth grade girls (Hailey Ericksson, Alana Berger, Kamryn Gass and Avery Tamm) stepped up to score some big points to keep the scores close.
