The Becker Bulldog girls 4x800 relay team of Ella McDonald, Alea Briggs, Brooklyn Karel and Lexi Rose competed at the 2022 MSHSL State  Class AA Track and Field meet on Saturday at St. Michael/ Albertville High School. 

Lexi Rose also represented Becker in the 1600 meter run. 

The girls ran their best time of the season -  9:51.46 - to place seventh overall out of the 16 teams running.  Their finish also earns these girls ‘All State’ honors.  

“The girls competed well and each had good split times,” said Head Coach Trish Kealy.  “This is the first girls relay to participate in the state meet since 2006 when  the 4x800 relay team of Kendra Gaeble, Terri Race, Kayla Gudmunson and Ella Smith ran.”   

Lexi Rose also ran the 1600 meters and placed 12th with a time of 5:24.73, which was two seconds faster than her section time.

“The state experience is something that stays with these athletes and we are so proud of how well our Becker athletes have done,” said Kealy.  “We thank the fans who came to the meet to support our kids.  It means a lot to have you there and helps our athletes!”
