Baseball, food, fun, and community spirit will be front and center on Tues., May 13, as Big Lake hosts its 4th Annual Baseball Youth Night at the Field. The much-anticipated event promises an exciting evening for families, friends, and fans of all ages.
Sponsored by the dedicated Big Lake Booster Club (www.biglakebaseballboosters.com), this free event celebrates the youth baseball community, and the many improvements made to the field over the past three years. Guests will have the chance to meet local players, mingle with the Big Lake Ambassadors, enjoy a variety of food vendors, enter a raffle, test their throwing speed in a radar tent, and take photos with Big Lake’s beloved mascot, Buzz.
The evening is a double header vs Princeton, beginning with the JV game at 4:30 p.m., followed by the Varsity matchup under the lights at 7:00 p.m. Gates open at 4:30 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to come early to enjoy all the festivities.
“This event is all about bringing people together and celebrating what makes Big Lake baseball so special,” said a Booster Club representative. “We’ve worked hard to improve the facilities and create a welcoming space for kids to grow in the game and community.”
Thanks to countless volunteer hours and fundraising efforts by the Booster Club, attendees will see major field upgrades, including a new state-of-the-art Mastodon batting cage, renovated dugouts, upgraded fencing, added storage, a new pitching mound, and a new pitching machine.
The Big Lake Baseball Youth Night at the Field is more than just a celebration — it’s a chance to inspire the next generation of ballplayers and strengthen community bonds through America’s favorite pastime.
Bring one’s glove, one’s appetite, and one’s Big Lake pride — it’s going to be a night to remember!
