Becker took sixth place out of 10 teams Saturday at home.

“It was a great meet with a lot of great swims from all the girls who were here,” said head Coach Tina Tamm.

Becker swimmers and divers accomplished nine new pool and meet records.

“We have a great facility for a meet like this and it shows when other teams come in and swim as well as they do,” Tamm said.

Emi Quill won the diving competition 28 points ahead of the second place diver.

“She has improved so much from last year and continues to keep getting better,” said the head coach.  “Great things ahead for the remainder of her season.”

Medal winners for the meet were: Nicole Larrison - fourth place in 50M freestyle; Quill - first place in diving; Macy Erson, Hailey Eriksson, Emily Lipinski and Nicole Larrison - sixth place in 200M freestyle relay; Erson,  Eriksson, Vanessa Gilles and Larrison - eighth place in the 400M freestyle relay.

In the final meet of the regular season Tuesday, the Bulldogs celebrated senior night for seniors Macy Erson, Nicole Larrison and Maddie Thorn.

“Senior night is always hard because it's their last home event,” said Tamm.  “These girls have been with us for six years and are a huge part of the team and it's tough to know that they won't be on deck with us next year as they move on to the next chapter in their lives. They will be missed.”

Quill broke the varsity diving record that had previously been held by Jess Penner since 1998.

“It was the oldest school record still left in the books and she finally broke it,” said a proud Tamm.  “She is having a tremendous year and it's not over yet.”
