Mackenzie Opgenorth signed a letter of intent two weeks ago to attend the University of St. Mary in Leavenworth, KS to play Div. II women’s lacrosse.
Opgenorth has played the sport since the sixth grade on JV and began playing varsity two years later. She has played every position on the team including goalie and is one of the top scorers the last two seasons (76 goals in that time).
Mackenzie has been a letter winner every year since the eighth grade and has participated on the Minnesota Lakers select team, competing in several states across the union.
Opgenorth also played on the Fellowship of Christian Athletes National team last summer in Vail, CO.
Mackenzie is the daughter of Travis and Laura Opgenorth of Becker.
