Netters Improve To 6 5 With Win At Mora

The Becker Bulldog girls volleyball team continued its great play as of late as they disposed of Mora in four sets at home Tuesday night.

The Bulldogs continued to prove they know how to come back and win.
 
 After a tough first loss in game one, they took control of their passing, setting and scoring and managed to win the next three games.   
 
The scores were 23-25 in game one, 25-22 in game two, 25-20 in game three and 25-16 in game four.
 
Senior Hope Amundson was a force to be reckoned with. She put up 16 kills and had a hitting percentage of .591. 
 
“We needed our hitters to be able to put the ball down and she did just that,” said Head Coach Kristina Sloan. 
 
Libero Carly Baumgartner led the defense with 23 digs and was 14-15 in serves.  
 
Daisy Kent had one ace on 11-13 serves while tallying 10 kills. Brynn Barthel was 11-12 in serves, had eight kills on 20 attempts and tallied four blocked shots.
 
Brinley Zoller had two aces on 9-of-10 serving. Megan Hoppe registered seven digs, Sarah Garding and Payton Anderson had three blocks apiece, Sam May had five blocks and Jessica Gruber notched five kills on 14 attempts.

The girls’ next matches are Tuesday in Zimmerman, then Thursday at Albany before they head to Mora, Saturday for a weekend tournament.
