Tuesday afternoon, Becker Supt. Steve Malone received a letter from Paul Lindsay, resigning his position as Head Girls Varsity Basketball Coach. 

 

Lindsay’s resignation was dated April 12 and also indicated he was resigning his position as seventh/eighth grade boys track coach.

 

Lindsay took over for Justin Hegna in 2009 after Hegna resigned following the 2008 season. Lindsay has been a coach for his daughters, Kaila (2008 graduate), Margaret (2013 graduate) and Amanda (2016 graduate) and has two more daughters (Jackie and Gabbie) in the school system.

 

This year, Lindsay helped lead his squad (20-11) to the state Class 3A semifinal game and ended up with a fourth place finish.

 

In the last six years of Lindsay’s tenure, his teams accumulated an 85-82 record.
