Lakers Fall To 0 7

 
The Clear Lake Lakers baseball team stayed winless with a loss to Rogers last Saturday on the road.
 
Mitch Annis started on the mound for the Red Devils, throwing 6-2/3 innings, giving up seven hits, five walks, six runs while recording eight strikeouts. Blake Brown threw 2-1/3 innings in relief, issuing two walks while notching three strikeouts. 
 
The Lakers’ starting pitcher was Mike Smith, who threw eight innings giving up 11 hits, five walks, 11 runs while tallying 12 strikeouts. 
 
The Lakers were led on offense by Justin Hagstrom, who went 1-for-4 for an RBI, earning a walk and scoring once. Mike Golombiecki went 1-for-4 for an RBI and Matt Körte went 2-for-4 with a double and scored a run. 
 
Ben Wright went 2-for-3 with a walk and one run scored and Smith went 1-for-5 while scoring a run. Ryan Skymanski earned a walk and scored a run. 
 
The Red Devils were led on offense by Eric Simon, who went 2-for-5 with a triple, an RBI and he scored three runs.  Player/manager Bryan McCallum went 2-for-4 for two RBI’s with a walk and he scored a pair of runs. 
 
Bill Servey went 3-for-5 with a double for an RBI and he scored a pair of runs. J Brand had a sacrifice fly for two RBI’s and a walk. Tanner Palm went 2-for-6 for an RBI while scoring a run. Aaron Cook earned three walks for an RBI and he crossed the plate twice. Annis went 1-for-3 while scoring once.

The Lakers travel to Foley Saturday then return home Sunday for a game against the St. Joseph Joes.
