The Becker boys lacrosse team will be hosting a “Learn to Play Lacrosse” player clinic Monday from 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Becker Fieldhouse. 

 

It’s an exciting time for those interested in the sport of lacrosse as the recreation has evolved from a club sport to now a school sport sanctioned by the MSHSL.

 

Becker High School voted in favor of having the boys lacrosse team be a school-sanctioned team in 2017. The boys will be the 27th sport/activity registered with the Minnesota State High School League.

 

Last year’s team lost to the Red River Valley Polars in early June in the championship match by a score of 9-8. Milan Kent was named to the All-American team and his father, Brandon Kent, the team’s head coach was named top head coach in the league.

 

The season for the boys lacrosse team will commence in April.
