EIGHTH-GRADE PHENOM MACKENZIE KRAMER is heating up just at the right time as she scored 23 points in two games to help her team improve to 16-7.

Kramer Heating Up As Season Winds Down

The Becker Bulldog girls basketball team (16-7) split two games in the last week, losing to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Saturday and beating Mora last Thursday.

Alex Johnson scored 22 and Mackenzie Kramer 12 in Becker’s two-point loss to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton (24-1).
 
Alexa Hanowski added nine for the Bulldogs.
 
DGF was led by Ally Reno, who tallied 15 points.
 
Becker scoring: Johnson 22, Kramer 12, Hanowski 9, Amanda Lindsay 6, Maddie Kerzman 4 and Whitney Raygor 2.
 
DGF scoring: Reno 15, Alyson Brenna 10, Jena Jacobson 8, Shelby Mullikin 8, Natalie Steichen 6, Anna Smith 5, Frannie Mercil 4 and Jasmine Hanson 1.   
 
Becker 70, Mora 38
 
The Bulldogs were led by four players who scored in double figures — Kramer 11, Raygor 11, Johnson 10 and Hanowski 10 — as they throttled the Mustangs on the road by 32.
 
Mora was led by  Kelly Becker with 11.

Mora scoring: Becker 11, Katelynn Murner 8, Kaitlyn Barnick 7, Taylor Nowling 4,  Emma Venhuizen 3, Emily  Hackler 2, Rachel Vreeland 2 and Faith Nielsen 1.

Friday, the girls hosted Albany in their final regular season game of the year (full report on game will appear in next week’s Citizen-Tribune). Section quarterfinals start Wednesday at a place to be determined.
 
Correction
In last week’s coverage of the girls basketball team, incorrect information was provided to the Citizen-Tribune in regards to scoring in the Delano game. Abbigail Morrell was credited with 13 points when Alexa Hanowski was the player deserving.
