Jv Swim/Dive Team Takes Sixth Monday

The Becker Bulldog  JV swim and dive team participated in the Granite Ridge Conference JV championship Monday.
 
This meet was a chance for Becker’s JV girls to swim a championship style meet.  The girls swam well and walked away with several ribbons.
 
In the 200M medley relay, the foursome of Kamryn Gass, Alana Berger, Makenna Thelen and Kyla Henkemeyer  placed fourth.
 
In the 200M IM, Berger placed seventh. In the 50M freestyle, Thelen placed fourth and Piper Romfo placed 12th.
 
In the 100M butterfly, Morgan Schrader placed sixth, Romfo placed seventh and Thelen placed eighth.
 
In the 100M freestyle, Nev Bjorlin placed ninth, Kelsey House placed 16th and Leah Pierson placed 17th.
 
In the 200M freestyle relay, Gass, Berger,  Schrader and Henkemeyer placed sixth while House, Jersey Fitzpatrick, Sarah Schmidt and Bjorlin placed 14th and Pierson, Nadine Super, Hailey Watts and Kadance Cox placed 15th.
 
In the 100M backstroke, Gass placed eighth and Schmidt placed 18th.
 
In the 100M breaststroke, Berger placed sixth and Fitzpatrick placed 16th.
 
In the 400M freestyle relay, Romfo, Henkemeyer, Gass and Thelen placed fifth while Schmidt, House, Bjorlin and Schrader placed 16th and Pierson, Super, Watts and Cox placed 18th.
 
The ladies scored enough points during the meet to finish in sixth place as a team.  
 
“All of these girls have improved throughout this whole season and will continue to improve over the years,” said Head Coach Tina Tamm.  “They are what we have to look forward to in the upcoming years.  Their hard work in the pool showed at this meet and I look forward to seeing what the next seasons bring.”

Oct. 29 is the final regular season swim/dive meet of the year and Becker will be hosting the six teams from the Granite Ridge Conference.
 
Nov. 10-11, the Bulldogs will compete in Section 5A preliminaries at home with finals starting Nov. 12.
