The Big Lake wrestling team had a clean sweep in its final regular season meet of the season, beating Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Delano and Rockford last Friday.
The Hornets beat Howard Lake, 61-10 to open the action.
The Lakers got on the board first when Raydon Graham took a 7-0 decision over Ivan Lapointe at 106 pounds.
Then it was eight in a row for the Hornets. At 113, Cash Sixberry pinned Tegan Miller at 0:40.
Cash Stortz pinned Jaxon Knott at 3:10 at 120 pounds.
At 126, Christian Noble pinned Tony Baumann at 3:00.
Nolan Reiter won by forfeit at 132.
At 138, Gavin Svenningsen beat Michael Mumford, 10-8.
Dillon Browen won by forfeit at 145.
At 152, Carson Gellerman won by major decision over Logan Diers, 16-2.
Tyler Dehmer pinned Isaac Busse at 4:02 at 160.
The Lakers picked up three points at 170 Collin Boese beat Johnathon Murphy, 7-2. And at 182, Tyler Graczyk beat Alex Hanrahan, 8-0 for Howard Lake’s final points.
At 195, Peter Duncombe pinned Matthew Busse at 1:32.
Big Lake’s Trajan Mussehl won by forfeit at 220 and Kane Lapointe pinned Jakob Duske at 1:44 at 285 to close out the match.
Big Lake had a similar outcome against Delano, winning 63-9.
Big Lake’s Ivan Lapointe lost a close decision to Tate Olson, 10-9 at 106 pounds.
Then it was all Big Lake. After Cash Sixberry won by forfeit at 113, Cash Stortz pinned Holton Vanderlinde at 1:22.
After a double forfeit at 126, and a forfeit win by Christian Noble at 132, Nolan Reiter beat Cael Olson, 6-2 at 138.
Dillon Browen and Carson Gellerman got forfeit wins at 145 and 152, then Tyler Dehmer pinned Matthew Coons at 1:39 at 160.
At 170, Johnathon Murphy pinned Jack Stoffels at 0:28.
Alex Hanrahan pinned Brady Jaunich at 4:41 at 182.
At 195, Trajan Mussehl pinned Grant Horeis at 1:38.
Peter Duncombe pinned Ashton Esco at 5:27 at 220.
Delano’s Chase McClay won by pin over Kane Lapointe at 2:52 to end the match.
The Hornets shut out shorthanded Rockford, 84-0. Big Lake had 10 wins by forfeit.
In the four matches that took place, Nolan Reiter pinned Hunter Hannegrefs at 0:46 at 132 pounds.
At 138, Gavin Svenningsen pinned Delano’s Bradley Graunke at 1:01.
Carson Gellerman pinned Ethan Scarbrough at 2:44 at 152 and at 195, Peter Duncombe pinned Avery Gordee at 3:33.
With the three team wins, the Hornets finished the regular season at 18-2.
