The Becker Bulldog boys and girls cross country teams hosted 11 local teams with the girls taking fourth and the boys fifth.

 

It was a very close battle between the top four teams with only 11 points separating them. St. Cloud Tech prevailed with 70 points.

 

The races featured windy conditions, but the rain held off until after the boys’ JV race.

 

Alli Hendrickson (19:54.27) and Victoria Kolbinger (20:42.56) took home first and second place individual honors. The team is still without last year’s top runner, Lexi Dehmer, who has been ill.   

 

Maddie McDonald placed 25th (22:43.06), Gabrielle Imm 26th (22:58.21), Grace Smith 29th (23:04.21), Adeline Kent 35th (23:26.68) and Allyna Storms 35th (24:16.86). 

 

There  were 68 runners.

The Bulldog JV girls squad won their meet handily, placing five runners in the top six finishers.   The top three teams (out of seven) were Becker 17, Mora 51 and Princeton 102.

 

Sydney Stommes was first (23:04.64), Tate Spinner second (23:46.75), Alli Garding third (24:01.68), Callie Doucette fifth (25:05.50) and Kaylin Wiehle sixth (25:10.21).

 

There were 59 runners.

 

The girls junior high team also won their meet against four teams and 47 runners competing. 

 

Megan Gregory took first, Abby Nelson third and Jaden Kraus fourth.

 

The Becker boys varsity placed fifth as a team with 12 teams competing and 80 runners in the race.

 

Becker's top runner was Luke Pappenfus, placing eighth (18:05.61). Basil Ricker was 20th (18:53.93),  Jonathan Novak 26th (19:03.00), Justin Kringle 36th (19:30.15), David Myres 49th (20:01.02), Even Schafer 69th (20:55.30) and Lachlan Lahr 71st (21:23.25).

The JV boys placed sixth out of 10 teams in a field of 119 runners.

 

Becker's top runners were, Bennett Edling 30th (20:49.50), Aaron Gregory 39th (21;25.54), Cade Stommes 57th (22:05.64), Erik Parson 59th (22:12.14)  and Blake Soenneker 68th (22:43.25).

 

The Bulldog boys junior high team placed sixth as a team out of eight teams and 80 runners.  

 

The top Becker  runners were, Mason Doucette in 20th and Wyatt Hiltner in 29th.

 

Becker’s next races are Saturday at Alexandria,  then  Tuesday at Albany.
