SOPHOMORE STRIKER CLAIRE VOIGT got the only goal Tuesday in Little Falls to give the Becker Bulldogs their third win of the year. Thursday, she scored twice and the Bulldogs won again, beating Cathedral to improve to 4-2.

Girls Soccer Team Wins Two, Leads Conference

The Becker girls soccer team improved to 4-2 with wins over Little Falls and St. Cloud Cathedral.

Claire Voigt had two goals and Madeline Corey had one goal for Becker in a Granite Ridge Conference win over St. Cloud Cathedral at home Thursday night.
 
Rachel Koopmeiners and Maddy Chopp each had one goal for Cathedral (1-4).
 
Toni Baynes had 17 saves in goal for the Crusaders and Aiden Bauer had 13 saves for the Bulldogs.
 
Head Coach Arnold Changamire was extremely pleased as this was the first time Becker had ever beaten the Crusaders.
 
Becker 1, Little Falls 0
The Bulldogs got a goal from Claire Voigt in the second half and held off the Flyer’s charge in the end to pull out the one-goal win Tuesday night on the road.
 
Lauren Thielman  of Little Falls recorded 12 saves while Becker’s Bauer had nine.
 
Becker leads the Granite Ridge Conference with 12 points (4-2 record) with Little Falls in second place (six points), Zimmerman in third (four points), Cathedral in fourth (three points) and St. John’s Prep in fifth with zero points.
