Girls Soccer Team Improves To 9 2

The Becker girls soccer team won their seventh game in a row Thursday at home, following two wins earlier in the week to improve to 9-2.
 
Becker 4, Willmar 1 
Madeline Corey and Claire Voigt each had two goals and one assist while Macy Eigen tallied one assist in Becker’s three-goal win over the Cardinals Monday on the road. 
 
Aiden Bauer had  15  saves.
 
Bulldogs 7, Johnnies 0
Tuesday, Becker hosted the St. John’s Prep Johnnies and handed them a blowout.
 
Allison Zimmer and Claire Voigt each had a goal. Heidi Voigt had  a hat-trick and one assist and Corey also scored a goal and had two assists. 
 
Becker led 5-0 after the first half ended, then sealed the deal with two more goals in the second half to secure the victory.
 
Bauer got the shutout in goal for the host team.
 
Bulldogs 2, Flyers 1
Thursday, Becker hosted Little Falls and won in overtime when Claire Voigt netted the game winner. 
 
Macy Eigen scored the first goal and Corey tallied both assists.
 
Bauer had 17 saves in goal for Becker.
 
Claire Voigt now leads the Bulldogs with 18 goals in 11 games played. Corey is second with 14 goals.
 
The leading assiter is Corey with nine.
 
Bauer has given up 23 goals in 11 games. The Bulldogs are averaging 4.3 goals a game on offense.
 
Up Next
The Lady Bulldogs host Watertown-Mayer Monday, then hit the road Tuesday for a match against St. Cloud Cathedral. They close out the week back home with a game against Melrose Area Thursday at 5 p.m.
