The Becker Bulldog girls golf team tied for 11th at St. Cloud Thursday and finished in second place at Blackberry Ridge Monday.
St. Cloud Invitational
The girls traveled to St. Cloud Country Club Thursday in an invitational that featured 16 teams.
Becker’s Rachel Vogl shot an 86, missing the top ten by just one shot.
Becker finished tied for 11th with Cambridge-Isanti.

“We played well and are consistently under 400,” said Head Coach Steve Whittaker. “With only three weeks left, I think we are starting to come together and we are ready to take another step up in the conference and section.”
Pre-Section Tournament
Senior Lauren Herker shot a 79 to claim medalist honors and lead the St. Cloud Cathedral girls golf team to the Pre-Section 6-2A team title Monday afternoon at Blackberry Ridge in Sartell.
Vogl finished in fifth place with a score of 90 to lead Becker to a second-place finish. Erson finished 10th with a 94.
Herker teammate Anna Faerber finished fourth with an 86. Molly Herker finished eighth with a 93.
Morgan Kranz of Sauk Centre was third with an 83. Raeley Walz of Foley was ninth with a 93.
“Our best showing to date -second place in a large meet,” said Whittaker. Scores were somewhat high because of the tremendous wind, but we did a great job ‘grinding’ it out.”
