The Becker Bulldog girls golf team traveled to Wapicada Golf Course in Sauk Rapids Wednesday in their final regular season meet of the year.

 

Competing on a relatively cool, cloudy and windy day, the  girls struggled somewhat and finished in second place with a 387.

 

St. Cloud Cathedral’s girls also struggled, but won the with a 379. The Crusaders’ Lauren Herker shot an 85 to take second.

 

Becker’s Hannah Garcia topped all Bulldog golfers with a 93.

 

Olivia Klefsaas of Staples-Motley shot an 82 to earn the medalist honors.

 

Team scores: 1). St. Cloud Cathedral - 379, 2). Becker - 387, 3). Milaca - 393, 4). Pierz - 446, 5). Albany - 458, 6). Staples-Motley (incomplete).

 

Bulldog scores: 1). Garcia - 93; 2). Rachel Vogl - 94; 3). Macy Erson - 97; 4). Ellie Goth - 103; 5). Erica Brovold - 111; 6). Jenna Voight - 116. 

 

The girls head to Blackberry Ridge Monday and Tuesday to participate in the section playoffs. Should the Bulldogs team or any individual from the team qualify for state after section play, they will be play the following Tuesday and Wednesday at Ridges of Sand Creek in Jordan.
