The Becker Bulldog girls basketball team held a youth camp last week for girls going into K-second and third-fifth grades.
Bulldog starters, Courtney Nuest, Megan Gamble, Adeline Kent, Alayna Lindquist and Julia Bengtson rotated schedules so at least three of them were at each camp.
“They did a great job serving as role models,” said Becker Head Coach Dan Baird.
Freshmen Alli Knute, Reagan Hausmann and Liz Mackedanz helped out.
“The players did a great job modeling proper techniques, behaviors, etc. for the young campers,” Baird said. “Fundamentals of shooting and ballhandling were stressed by coaches and players.”
In one of the instructional sessions, youth camper Sydnee Bull demonstrated her proper layup form by having her left leg planted for a right hand layup while instructor Courtney Nuest looked on.
