Five outstanding youth wrestlers represented Becker at the Midwest Wrestling Tour's Buffalo Nationals in Brookings, SD Jan. 28-29.
All five competitors made the podium.
Second grader Bennett Kujawa was the champion in the first-to-second grade, 54-lb. bracket. Fourth grader Lance Lysdal was the champion in the third-to-fourth grade heavyweight bracket.
Fourth grader Cash Stortz was the runner-up in the third-to-fourth grade, 72-lb bracket. Fourth grader Landen Kujawa was the runner-up in the third-to-fourth grade, 63-lb bracket. Fourth grader
Kaden Nicolas placed third in the third-to-fourth grade, 66-lb bracket.
Bennett Kujawa and Kaden Nicolas also earned a Midwest Wrestling Tour belt for placing in the top four at three of the four MWT events (Iowa, Wisconsin and South Dakota).
There is one more national tournament left on the tour and it will be the Gopher State Nationals held in Monticello, Feb. 11-12. Wrestlers from Ohio, Michigan, Nebraska, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa,
North Dakota, Minnesota and South Dakota compete in this tournament.
