Eagles Lost Offensive Punch And 3 Games

The Eagles hockey team lost to Mora Feb 4. at home. Mora scored seven times in the game and Becker-Big-Lake scored only once.
 
Mora would be the first to score in period one at 8:46. The Eagles scored their only goal just under  two minutes later at 10:13, by Nick Cencer (Ryan Murnane, Corbin Kollar assist), which would tie the game 1-1.
 
Mora would score four times in the 2nd period, and twice more in the 3rd period, making the final score 7-1.
 
The Eagles received seven minor penalties throughout the game, Mora received just two.
 
Justin Morrow would play for 45:29. After 30 saves against 37 shot attempts, Zach Piehl played the remaining 5:31, saving all three shots against him.

The Eagles lost a tough one Monday at home after Cambridge-Isanti shut out the Eagles and scored seven goals. The final score was 7-0.
 
Two goals were scored by Cambridge-Isanti in the first period, both in the first eight minutes. There was no score in the second period. Five more goals were scored by BlueJackets in the third period.
 
There were a total of six penalties against the Eagles and four against the BlueJackets, all minor.
 
The Eagles were able to get only 16 shot attempts against their opponent, and faced 43 shots from the BlueJackets, 36 of which were saved by Morrow, who tended the goal all 51 minutes of regulation.
 
Moose Lake 4, Eagles 0
 
The Eagles travelled to Moose Lake to take on the Rebels Tuesday, and were unable to score a goal for the second straight game. The final score was 4-0.
 
The Rebels saw an early goal at 0:43 in the first period. There would be no more goals until the third period. In the third, Moose lake would score three goals in seven minutes. Backed up by their defense, Moose Lake would claim victory over the Eagles 4-0.
 
Eight penalties apiece were served to both the Eagles and the Rebels. All but one were minor penalties, with a misconduct penalty from Moose Lake being the only serious penalty at the end of the third period.
 
Piehl served as goalie for the Eagles for the game's entirety, saving 30 of 34 shot attempts. The Eagles did slightly better than the previous game, with 26 shot attempts, but no score.
 
Their season record falls to 3-18-1 with two games left in the season. The Eagles hosted their final home game Friday against Dodge County, and they conclude their season Saturday at Fairmont.
