Becker Robotics (FRC 4607 - C.I.S.) invites all fans to join them Sat., Jan. 6 at 9 a.m. to watch the world-wide kick-off of this season’s competition. The World Wide Premier will start shortly after 9 a.m. and will be showcased in the PAC. Guests are asked to enter the main doors of Becker High School just off of Sherburne and Hancock.
With the community’s support, Becker Robotics has become one of the premier teams in the state of Minnesota. Since their inception in 2012, they have won the state tournament, qualified for the state tournament four of the last five years and have qualified for the World Championships in three of their first five years.
The team has also accumulated many other awards including the prestigious Chairman’s Award in 2016 and 2017 - one of only three teams to repeat this feat in Minnesota!
This success has not been an accident — it is because of incredible support from their community and they would like to thank all their supporters and well wishers by having them come in during their kick-off and see what they are up to as they start another year.
Members of the Robotics team also want to inform all that they will be working hard to create an experience for Celebrate Becker Feb. 24.
At Saturday’s kickoff, the team in the high school commons area, they will have representatives from all nine Becker FIRST Teams (Junior FIRST LEGO League, FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Tech Challenge, and FIRST Robotics Competition) on display for anyone to interact with.
