BASIL RICKER earned a personal record time of 18:31.59 for 74th place at Thursday’s meet in Little Falls.
MADDIE MCDONALD finished 68th with a time of 21:57.08.

Cc Teams Place 17th And Sixth In Little Falls

Little Falls hosted the Lucky Lindy Myron Ahle Cross Country Invitational Thursday.  
 
“We were a bit worried about the weather, but after the JV races things cleared off for  nice running conditions,” said Head Coach trish Reimer-Kealy.
 
“This was a highly competitive meet with a many teams from our section and several teams from our conference.”
 
Boys Competition
Becker’s team ran really well, with five of their seven boys earning PRs.
 
They placed 17th out of 25 teams for their best-ever finish at this meet. 
 
Sartell won the meet with 59 points and Hopkins was second with 84, beating out Perham in a tie breaker. There were 169 runners in the race.
 
Luke Pappenfus placed 49th, running well with a PR of 18:03.13. Basil Ricker earned a PR over 30 seconds for his 74th place finish (18:31.59) and Jonathan Novak was close behind him in 77th with his best time of the season (18:34.11).  
 
Justin Kringler continued to improve and got his own PR of 19:17.92. Becker’s fifth runner was David Myres, placing 136th in a PR time of 19:47.55.  
 
Even Schafer finished in a PR time of 20:39.92 and Bennett Edling in 21:05.30.   
 
“We are really excited to see such improvement and enthusiasm  that these guys have shown,” said Reimer-Kealy.
 
The JV boys were led by Lachlan Lahr, running a season best of 21:03.83. He was followed by Aaron Gregory (21:41.30), Jake Nelson (21:44.35), Cade Stommes (21:47.41) and Adrian Johnson (22:44.58).
 
In junior high,  Becker’s top three runners were  Mason Doucette (13:27.45), Wyatt Hiltner (13:58.12) and Tucker Schmoll (14:02.74).
 
Girls Competition
The girls team had a good competitive day, placing sixth out of 24 teams.
 
The top 10 teams were  Willmar (30), Monticello (129), Hopkins (132), Perham (134), Brainerd (163), Becker (172), Moorhead (221), Rocori (263), Sartell (269) and Alexandria (283).  
 
Willmar is ranked second in the state in class AA. There were 160 runners.
 
Lexi Dehmer ran very well and had a really nice finish as Becker's lead runner, placing seventh with a time of 19:28,64.  Also earning a medal for Becker was Alli Hendrickson in 10th place (19:37.85).  
 
Victoria Kolbinger nailed down her third personal record of the year, running 20:14.74 for a 21st place finish. Maddie McDonald (68th-21:57.08) and Adeline Kent (66th-21:47.76) pushed each other to both earn PR times.  
 
Allyna Storms ran a season best for 89th (22:31.08), Sydney Stommes ran 22:44.26 for 93rd.  
 
“We are so proud of how they all pushed on another and worked together in this race,” said the head coach.
 
The JV girls placed fourth out of 18 teams. There were 202 runners.  
 
They were led by seventh-grader Grace Smith in 16th place (22:44.53). Gabrielle Imm was 17th (22:48.51), Tate Spinner 35th (23:48.53), Alli Garding 39th (24:01.18), Callie Doucette in 43rd (24:11.76) and Kaylin Wiehle 50th (24:33.70).
 
The junior high girl’s top three runners were Megan Gregory (14:18.51), Abby Nelson (15:01.77) and Jaden Kraus (15:16.65).

The  JV and junior high squads head to Big Lake  Tuesday and the varsity run at the Roy Griak Invitational Saturday at the U of M.
