Bulldogs Go 4 1 In Busy Five Game Stretch

The Becker Lady Bulldog girls basketball team improved to 10-4 (5-1, GRC) with wins over Foley, Sartell, Duluth East and Mora.
 
Becker 51, Foley 39
 
Becker took to the road Thursday and wound up beating the Foley Falcons (2-12) by 12 Thursday night.
 
Becker’s Alex Johnson scored 20.

Becker 50, Sartell 35
 
The Bulldogs traveled to Sartell-St. Stephens (4-11) Tuesday and whooped the  Sabres by 15.
 
Lexie Winter and Megan Sieben each scored seven points for the Sabres in a nonconference loss to the Bulldogs.
 
Meleah Gunderson and Alyssa Griepentrog each had six rebounds for Sartell.

MI-Buhl 66, Becker 44 
 
Monday, the girls played Mountain Iron-Buhl on the road Monday and lost by 22.
 
Mountain Iron-Buhl (15-1) was led by Chelsea Mason, who had 14 points to lead the Rangers. Three other Ranger players made double-digit scoring including Tatum Primeau (13), Mya Buffetta (11) and Mary Burke (10).

Becker 70, DE 47
 
The Lady Bulldogs traveled north to take on the Duluth East Greyhounds (2-15) last Saturday night and won handily, 70-47.
 
Alex Johnson (15), Claire Thorn (15) and Alexa Hanowski (12) all had double-digit scoring while the defense shut down Duluth East’s offense, limiting their top scorer (Ashley Williams) to just 12 points.

Becker 74, Mora 31
 
The Bulldogs hosted Mora (5-6) last Friday night and came away with an impressive, 43-point win.
 
Becker led 44-13 at halftime and cruised to the easy win by scoring 30 in the second frame.
 
Alex Johnson was the top scorer on the night, tallying 18 points on nine field goals. Alexa Hanowski contributed with 14 and Claire Thorn 10 as Becker dominated the game from start to finish.
 
Mora was led by Katelynn Murner with 12.
