Three Becker Bulldogs took part in last Friday’s Elite Track Meet held at Hamline University and showed that they are among the best track athletes in the state of Minnesota.
Reckelberg was outstanding, winning the long jump and placing in the top ten (eighth overall) in the 100 meter dash.
“Carter became the first Becker athlete to win at this prestigious event by winning the Long Jump with a leap of 22’9”,” Coach Paul Schmidt said.
Woelfel and Angell each participated in the pole vault and held their own, as they both placed fourth overall.
Woelfel cleared 10’9” in the event, while Angell cleared 14’1” to finish in the top five.
The Hamline Elite Meet is held annually as an invitation only event and brings together the top athletes in each event.
