Bulldog wrestlers coast to pair of wins

It was a clean sweep last Friday for the Becker Bulldog wrestling team, as it picked up a pair of wins at a Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Triangular.  Becker knocked off Roccori in the opener, 57-13, before taking down the host Lakers in the nightcap, 50-21.

In the win over the Spartans, Becker used seven forfeit wins to build an insurmountable lead, as the Bulldogs won 11 of 14 total matches.

Bulldog individual winner results: Bennett Kujawa (103) 12-9 dec.; Nolan Jurek (113) forfeit; Kaden Nicolas (120) forfeit; Landen Kujawa (126) forfeit; Drew May (132) forfeit; Jake Rosenow (138) forfeit; Mason Doucette (160) forfeit; Adam Jurek (170) fall 1:31; Tyson Ricker (182) 3-2 dec.; Dylan Weber (195) 3-2 dec.; Bryce Kuschel (285) forfeit.

In the second match, Becker found itself behind 0-12 early before rallying for the win in the final dual match of the season.  

In this match, the Bulldogs had to work for the win, as the Lakers forfeited just two matches.

The Bulldogs were scheduled to be in Albany Friday night for the Husky Invitational for the last regular season event. From there, the Bulldogs will advance into team and individual section tournaments over the next two weeks.
