The Becker Bulldog girls golf team finished third at Albany Thursday where the rain and low temperatures seemed to have little effect on two of Coach Steve Whittaker’s players.
Erica Brovold led the Bulldogs with a 45, shooting her best lifetime score. Ellie Goth also have her best day of her career, tallying a 50 in difficult weather conditions.
Whittaker noted he had two of his top players absent which moved some of the younger girls up to fill their spots.
“It’s really strengthened our team to see such improvement and I am really proud of how hard these girls are working,” he said.
Cathedral captured first place when their top four golfers tallied an impressive 170. Milaca had all four of their golfers shoot in the 40s and they took second at 194 while Becker finished with an even 200.
Cathedral’s Lauren Herker was the day’s top shooter where she finished with a 40.
