The Monticello Muskies boys and girls swimming club is expanding their club into Becker this spring. They have opened up registration to all boys and girls of any age and skill level that may be interested in swimming.  There will be an option to compete in swim meets.

 

Becker swimmer Calvin Marquette swam in the C finals last weekend in Alexandria for the Muskies.  He finished the weekend with two second place and three fourth place finish times.  Marquette recorded five personal best times in all of his events. 

 

This is Calvin's first year swimming competitively, and his second year swimming for the Muskies swim club.  

 

Calvin and his dad, Matt, are hopeful there will be a good following for the newly expanded club in the Becker area.  The next step following the establishment would be to get boys swimming as a middle school and high school team sport in the near future.
