Boys Lose To Thunder, Huskies In Three Games

The Becker boys basketball team went 1-2 this past week to drop below .500 on the year.
 
Zimmerman 72, Becker 63
The Zimmerman Thunder (10-11, 6-4) topped the Becker Bulldogs (9-10, 6-4) at home in Granite Ridge Conference play Thursday night.
 
No other information on the game was made available to the Citizen-Tribune by press time.
 
Albany 83, Becker 77
 
The Bulldogs dropped a home game Tuesday night to the Huskies from Albany.
 
Two players from both sides of the court dominated the floor Tuesday with Kyle Birr and Matt Yoerg each tallying 38 points apiece. Yoerg was 11-for-16 from the floor and 8-of-9 from the charity stripe while Birr was 7-of-12 in field goals and 21-of-23 from the free throw line.
 
Albany’s Neal Anderson contributed with 17 and Josh Terres had 11.
 
Becker’s Andrew Davalos scored his second consecutive 10-point game to aid the Bulldogs.
 
Becker scoring: Yoerg 38, Davalos 10, Conzemius 9, Dillon Radunz 7, McCalla 7, Fobbe 2, Tyler Lindquist 2 and Thom 2.
 
Albany scoring: Birr 38, Anderson 17, Terres 11, Logan Van Drehle 6, Max Carlson 6, Danny Odenthal 3 and Ethan Hylla 2.
 
Becker 70, Mora 35
 
The Bulldogs traveled to Mora last Friday and crushed the Mustangs by 35.
 
Jake Fobbe led all scorers with 19 as he shot 7-for-12 from the field including four three-pointers. He also added one assist, two rebounds and one steal.
 
Cal Wright led Mora with 14, including two three-pointers.
 
Matt Yoerg also hit double-digits in scoring with 13. He also added two assists, five rebounds and one blocked shot.
 
Becker scoring: Fobbe 19, Yoerg 13, Andrew Davalos 10, Jack Conzemius 9, Hunter McCalla 7, Clayton Gallus 5, Ryan Good 3, Cody Gruenhagen 2 and Dawson Thom 2.
 
Mora scoring: Wright 14, Bryce Norby 6, Brett Johnson 4, Keaton Torell 3, Zach Van Vleet 2, Brandon Mann 2, Benjamin Yoder 2 and Casey Cheney 2.
