Boys Beat Wolves, Lose To Thunder

The Becker boys basketball team went 1-1 in two games this past week.
 
Becker 73, Milaca 65
The Bulldogs scored 26 points from the free throw line, 22 in the second half and pulled away from the Wolves down the stretch to pick up the win last Friday on the road.
 
Hunter McCalla led the Bulldogs with 22 points and was five-for-nine at the line. Jack Conzemius tallied 21 points and was 11-of-13 from the charity stripe.
 
Milaca was led by Jimmy Kragt, who had 20 points. Matthew Fransen added 19.
 
Becker jumped out to a 36-29 halftime lead, then the two teams traded baskets the rest of the way with the Bulldogs scoring 37 in the final 18 minutes and Milaca 36.
 
Becker scoring: McCalla 22, Conzemius 21, Lucas Dertinger 9, Brandon Gustafson 8, Tyler Lindquist 8, CJ Howard 2, Dawson Thom 2 and Sam Ricker 1.
 
Milaca scoring: Kragt 20, Fransen 19, Cade Sorenson 10, Blake Kiel 5, Peyton Rothanburg 5, Sam Berg 4 and Dylan Ash 2.
 
Zimmerman 60, Becker 53
The Thunder got scoring from four players in double digits and cruised to a comfortable win over the Bulldogs in Zimmerman Thursday night.
 
Becker had three guys make double digit scoring and were led by Dertinger with 15 points. McCalla and Conzemius each finished with 13 points.
 
Zimmerman was led by Thunder Heyer, who had 15 points. The other double digit scorers for Zimmerman were Jake Pensinger with 13, Dylan Olerich with 12 and Chandler Wellman with 10.
 
Becker made 20 two-point field goals, six three-pointers and seven free throws. Zimmerman made 22 field goals, six threes and 10 free throws.
 
Becker scoring: Dertinger 15, McCalla 13, Conzemius 13, Lindquist 7, Justin Kringler 3 and Thom 2.
 
Thunder scoring: Heyer 15, Pensinger 13, Olerich 12, Wellman 10, Dylan Martin 8, and Carter McEachern 2.
