MEMBERS OF THE BECKER BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM gathered at the school Monday evening to celebrate their season with a year-end banquet. Boys Basketball Team Celebrates Season At Banquet

The Becker boys basketball team gathered for their annual end-of-the-year banquet Monday to honor some players and pay homage to a very successful season.
 
The Bulldogs finished with a 15-12 record and were 10-4 in the Granite Ridge Conference. They were 8-4 at home and 6-8 on the road and finished the regular season going 6-4.
 
Becker’s wins were over Princeton, Milaca (twice), Zimmerman, Detroit Lakes, Sauk Rapids-Rice, Dassel-Cokato, Albany (twice), Foley (twice), Mora (twice), Little Falls and  Sartell-St. Stephen.
 
In the Section 5AAA first round playoffs, the Thunder from Zimmerman ended the Bulldogs’ season with a 74-52 win nearly three weeks ago.
 
Hunter McCalla led the team in several categories including most points (467), most rebounds (141) blocked shots (22), free-throw shooting (77%) and assists (101).
 
Lucas Dertinger was Becker’s top stealer with 59, CJ Howard had the team’s best three-point shooting percentage with 48% and Jack Conzemius and Brandon Gustafson led the Bulldogs in field goal percentage with 56%.
