Boros Plays Final Game Of High School At U.S. Bank Stadium

Becker’s Sidney Boros was one of 98 football players from around the state who participated in last weekend’s Minnesota High School All-Star game at U.S. Bank Stadium.
 
Boros, a senior running back and kick returner for the Bulldogs, played for the North squad, who lost to South by a score of 28-14. Boros got one run attempt for zero yards in a game that featured inner-city players dominating the spotlight.
 
Saturday’s game was the 45th annual MFCA All-Star game now known as the Minnesota Football Showcase. Becker Head Coach Dwight Lundeen was the one who nominated Boros for a spot on the team and Lundeen, his son Mike and Assistant Coach Troy Robinson were in attendance for the game.
 
The South now leads the overall North-South series 14-10-1. The South leads the current North-South series 6-2.
 
Boros played all 12 games for Becker this year and amassed 1,659 yards on 208 carries and 11 touchdowns. For his career, Boros gained 2,825 yards on 314 carries and scored 33 TD’s - 24 of those TD’s on rushes. He averaged nine yards a carry throughout his high school career.
