The Big Lake gymnastics team captured third place in Class A at the state last weekend with Lola Visci being crowned champion of the uneven bars with a 9.600 score.
Watertown-Mayer/Mound-Westonka took first place with a score of 145.750. Mankato West was second with a score of 145.600 and Big Lake third with a score of 145.000.
The rest of the field was, New London-Spicer (142.125), Worthington (141.950)), Detroit Lakes (140.575), Mahtomedi (139.850) and Byron (137.725).
Big Lake scored 36.425 on vault, 35.100 on bars, 36.500 on beam and 36.975 on floor.
In the all-around, Visci finished fifth with a score of 37.2875 while teammate Britney Krumrei took third with a score of 37.5375.
Reagan Kelley of Watertown took first with a score of 38.4250.
On floor, Krumrei finished fifth with a score of 9.4750. Allie Goracke took 16th with a score of 9.2500. Kennadie Ell took 30th with a score of 9.0875 and Visci took 38th with a score of 8.9875. First place was captured by Anna Mielke of Watertown with a score of 9.6375.
On beam, Visci took sixth with a score of 9.3375. Ell was right behind her at seventh with a score of 9.3000. Krumrei took 13th with a score of 9.1500. Reagan Kelley of Watertown took first with a score of 9.7125.
On bars, Visci brought home the title with a 9.5750 score and she was followed by Krumrei in sixth with a score of 9.3625.
On vault, Krumrei captured fifth place with a score of 9.5500. Visci took 15th with a score of 9.3875.
