Becker had two fourth grade girls basketball teams capture first and second places at last weekend’s Willmar Boosters Basketball Tournament.
The Becker White team had a 9:50 a.m. game Saturday morning against Willmar 3 and won that game. In the next round they faced the winner of the Lakeview/NLS Gold game and won that matchup.
Meanwhile, on the other end of the bracket, the Becker Blue team won their first two games against NLS 4 and Willmar 4 to gain the championship game against Becker White.
The Becker White team triumphed to capture the blue ribbon medals while Becker blue took home the red ribbon medals for taking second.
The Becker White squad featured Lauren Croal, Alli Groskreutz, Madison Bass, Payton Emerson, Lily Schmidt, Brooklyn Bratsch, Faith Bass and Elli Studier. The team was coached by Gerry and Sarah Bass.
The Becker Blue team consisted of Brooklyn Broberg, Emily Huffman, Hannah Dierkes, Lexis Roske, Haley Czanstkowski, Kalli Josewski, Olivia Nieken and Reese Hausman and was coached by Katy Hausmann.
