Scores of Becker youth wrestlers competed individually in the Rumble on the Red Wrestling Championship in Fargo, the weekend of New Year’s. Over 600 youth wrestlers compete in this tournament.

 

Second grader Bennett Kujawa was the champion of the 8U-55-lbs. bracket. Fourth grader Kaden Nicolas placed third in the 10U-65-lbs. bracket. Fourth grader Owen Angell competed with a club team —Scoring Edge — which took third place in the 9U team tournament. 

 

Other wrestlers who competed but did not place include Odin Duncombe, Ethan Duncombe, Jacob Williams, Blayne Kuschel, Boston Kuschel, Logan Nesheim, Isaac Deluge, Landen Kujawa, Cash Stortz, Owen Angell, Drew May and Kaden Rish.

 

Becker youth wrestling will host its annual Becker Rumble tournament Sat., Jan. 14 beginning around 9 a.m. at Becker High School. This tournament usually draws in approximately 300-400 local wrestlers from pre-K through the sixth grade.
