The Becker Bulldog boys basketball team went 1-3 this past week — losing to three nonconference teams — to drop to 5-8, but are just one game out of first place in the Granite Ridge Conference at 3-1 with a win over Foley.
Becker 56, Foley 53
Dillon Radunz led Becker with 20 points in a win over Foley Thursday night on the road.
Michael Veldman added 12 points for the Bulldogs.
Devyn Fox scored 17 points and Cameron Jurek had 14 for Foley, which led 23-22 at halftime.
In 13 games, the Bulldogs are averaging 59 points a game. Veldman has scored 231 points in that span, averaging nearly 18 points a game.

The Orono Spartans basketball team won Tuesday's home nonconference game against Becker by 15 points.
The Bulldogs were led by Veldman who had 14 and Radunz who had 10.
The Spartans were led by Ethan Larson, who tallied 17 points in the win.

John Quinlan scored 21 points to lead St. Cloud Apollo (5-6) past Becker in a nonconference game Saturday afternoon at Apollo High School.
Veldman had a spectacular night, scoring 24 points in the losing effort. Davalos chipped in 12.
The Eagles led 32-27 at halftime and Logan Louangsyharaj knocked down 12 points for Apollo.

Rogers 68, Becker 45
Cole Murray had 18 points to lead Rogers past host Becker in a nonconference match-up last Friday night.
Veldman had 11 points to lead Becker and Dawson Brown and Matt Yoerg each had nine.
Rogers led 29-26 at halftime and outscored Becker 39-19 in the second half.
