Becker dancers have great meet in Monticello

The Becker Dance Team competed in their last regular-season competition at Monticello High School last Saturday.

It was nearly a clean sweep for the Bulldogs in all divisions and categories with every team taking first place except varsity jazz losing the first place tie breaker to take second!

“The 13 teams that competed on Saturday are 13 of the 15 Becker will be seeing at the section tournament on Feb. 5th,” said Head Coach, Nadia Fischer-Danzeisen. “The team was ranked second but with beating the first place team, they’re looking to fight for the section championship spot.”

The coaches expressed their gratitude towards the JV and b-squad athletes and parents as this was their last event for the 2021-2022 season.

“I am so proud of how much growth the JV teams had this year,” said JV Head Coach, Autumn Martin. “I feel confident that several of them are ready to move up to the varsity level next year.”

“The team that placed the most often this year was our b-squad Jazz team.,” said Assistant Coach, Megan Timm. “They’re the best b-squad team in the history of the program!”
